Actually, theme based cities have been built..... for example, the building of theme parks like Disneyland and the like. The pharaonic style buildings requires oasis-like geography....Vegas happens to be rather fitting.......what happened to that idea of reconstructing the library of Alexandria? maybe they could use the pharoanic style for that....
