Forgive the levity in this post as I do not mean to distract from your post's excellent content but you wrote:

As an "Alternative Thinker" I would conclude that this must represent that mankind has always been lost in " a maze" and that the Minotaur and the maze in which it gets trapped actually represents all of us and our journey through life and that the ancients knew it far better than we today.
