Quotethe unit was frequently used for measuring land areas
The point I was making was
Plethra = 100 x 100 feet area or 100 feet length.
After everyone was slating me saying a plethra is 100 feet and "There is no reference to area in the original Herodotus quotation". The above links were to show that a plethra also referred to area as stated in the original piece.

Hi all,
There was a theory put forward on another site concerning the great pyramid asking for a critic on the comments about herodotus. I have argued against the theory and found an alternative solution listed below.
You can actually solve Herodotus poser for the Great Pyramid. But you have to break it down into 2 problems with two answers or you will never solve it. There are two sepe

Arghh! You mean extend G3 digaonal to the NW and G1 diagonal to the SW making a right angle. I thought you meant the distance between en extended G1 & G3 so they ran in parallel.
From G1 center
Distance = 36548.21918611, Angle in XY Plane = 225d3'28.6328", Angle from XY

20.83483 = 200 fingers / 7

Hi,
if the inner radius I show = 113 and you say this is the 32 @ 160 then
160 = 113
250 = 176.5
360 = 254.25 [??? 236.9 is max. Your off the scale with this though]
try multiplying by 160/250
236.9 = 151.616...ok
229.18 = 146.6752...no
211.63 = 135.4432 ...ok
194.77 = 124.6528 ...no
177.21 = 113.4144 ....ok
or 250/360.
236.9 = 164.5138 ...no
229.18 = 159.1527...no
211.63

The squares, teeth and petals are a bit lacking agreed.
The circles are mainly distorted by the perpective. The bowl appears tilted down/away at the right hand side. The area of the squares appears to bubble upward with a recessed dark area. I drew lines from the top and bottom quadrants of the circles to illustrate the 3d distortion of th

Hi,
I've imported your jpg into CAD. That way I can spot 3 points on any ring to define the circumference of a circle and get its radius, circumference, et cetra.
The spread of the spots used was very roughly the same spread as an equilateral triangles corners. I have assumed the circle of squares relate and set the "inner" teeth circle at circumference 1440 for that reason.
