Yes thats accurate for the trianglation coordinates to 2 dp.
Dont know how much weight you want to throw the Quotations.
They show a discrepancy at the south east corner.
I use the socket diagram casing to core measure & Station to socket measure because...
Petries extended casing to socket floor is 2 inches greater then its depth dictates.
Also the socket/station to pyramid corner is

I have shown the finger used in egyptian artwork uses the imperial system.
It is 1/28th of a british remen diagonal.
But hell if you want to be really thorough. Lets do all the fingers shall we..
(14.4 x sqrt 2) / 28 = 0.72731
0.72731 * 1.00106 = 0.72808
(144 / 7) / 28 = 0.73469
0.73469 * 28 / 44 = 0.46753
0.73469 * 1.00106 = 0.73547
0.46753 * 1.00106 = 0.46803

You really are incapable of seeing the wood for the trees.
The scientific method is to observe, theorise, predict, test.
You see nothing because you choose to see nothing.
I see a harmony of relationships where number, architecture and myth is combined.
People have observed, theorised, predicted and failed on the testing 1000's of times. All because they could not be bothered to use

My presentation skills suck I guess.

Petries core 9001.5 x 4 []
Petries casing thicness 70.7
Petries description of core concavity
9001.5 x 4 = 36006
70.7 x 8 = 565.6
36006 + 565.6 = 36571.6
36571.6 / 36524.22 = 1.0013
Smyth favoured a concave casing that followed the core masonry.
Petrie & Cole favoured the flat sided casing.
There is nothing wrong with Smyths dimensional theories only peoples interpretation

Quotethe problem with your idea is, that the Egyptians built using the cubit, not the British inches.Quote
1 british remen = 14.4 british inches
1 british remen diagonal = 14.4 x sqrt 2 inches
1 brits remen diagonal / 28 fingers = 0.7273 british inches finger..1/28th british remen diagonal or royal cubit
Finger length established by Flinders Petrie..

Hi,
yes thats almost there.
INITIAL Core perimeter 36000...4 x 9000
INITIAL Case perimeter 36270...4 x 9067.5
INITIAL socket perimiter 36500...9132.5 + 9127.5 + 9122.5 + 9117.5 [5" gaps]
But the casing required was 36270...4 x 9069. So to use the same basic design criteria required adding 6" to all perimeter. Therefore...

but this was not what was built.
they wanted to use a pyramid casing with perimeter 36276 therfo

Thanks Teacup,
basically you have a core masonry, sitting on this core masonry (what remains of it) is the casing which is skewed (different azimuth) from the core masonry. Now normally if you build a core the casing follows the same azimuth or you build with roughly the same casing thickness all round. The first question is why this skew between casing and core.

Using 360 and 365 does not remove the pyramids from there egyptian context.
360 and 365 forms the very core of all egyptian context.
ie the birth of the gods.
But hey. Frankly Anthony, I dont really give a toss about your opinion. So save your breath. I'd like to discuss on a discussion forum not argue with someone because they dont like an idea.

I'm sorry what was your first post about ?
I posted here to get people to
a. read the dimensions across the socket, casing and core provided by Petrie from Both his triangulation coordinates & his quoted dimensions. I even provided the web site so you can check everything is legit and study the tolerance for all sides.
b. Study the work showing the results of that theory and I e

QuoteYup. They can be found in the pavement at the corners of most pyramids, as the builders wanted to be sure the casing stones "locked" into the appropriate spot after the surveying was completed.
Wrong. The use of corner sockets are unique to the great pyramid to the best of my knowledge.

You lot read your hieroglyphs and secondhand heresay to guide your research on ancient Egypt. You use paper and words for your evidence. I use buildings and dimensions for my evidence.
So show me an ...."ACCURATE".... geometrical construction that incoporates all available evidence for the great pyramids plan. After all if Khufu and Khufu alone built the pyramids then the "core,

Analysis of Petrie survey of the Great Pyramid
This is an update on my research on the Giza Plateau to try and find an original design basis or methodlogy for the site layout. This piece focuses specifically upon the Great Pyramid although further work has been done on the 2nd and third pyramids. The work demonstrates the use of catesian coordinates for rotation, the original egyptian year le
