This is a little diversion I went on and it is a good example of how Phi is incorporated into our very being and fabric of living and we go merrily along never giving it a thought.
The ordinary deck of playing cards consisting of 52 cards, 4 suits with 13 cards per suit. What can they tell us of Phi ... A lot.
First up is Wild Bill ... shot in the back holding of all things Aces and eights ... the bitter irony of this hand if it is true.
Why do I see irony in this ? Well ...
In a deck of cards The Ace is actual number 13 and 8 is of course 8 ... now 13 divided by 8 is as close to the golden mean or Phi as we can come ... and Wild Bill was holding two versions of 13 divided by 8 .. he was holding the sign of life, double phi when he died. I would call that ironic.
But the numbers and cards can point out a few more things ...
13 /8 = ~ Phi
and what is 13 made up of ... well among others there is this ...
8 + 5 is 13 and we get this ... and 8 divided by 5 also gives us Phi
arranged this way and we have the four sides of Phi
and it can also be like this ...
it can also look like this ...
but it continues, still using just the cards ...
and 13 + 8 is 21 and 21 / 13 is also Phi so we can get this ...
but we are not quite done yet ...
there are but two colors ... Red and Black (for white)
and we can get this if we imagine ...
and then we can see this if we try ...
and then this ...
But the cards mirror our life exactly ...
observe ...
when do we start school .. AGE 5 and Kindergarten
how many grades in public school ... NUMBER 8
age when we graduated public school ... AGE 13
how many years high school is (actually was) there ... NUMBER 5
average age of puberty ... AGE 13
age year graduate high school ... age 18 (13 + 5)
age of consent and assumed adulthood ... AGE 21 (13 + 8 )
and of course 21 divided by 13 is also Phi
and we notice that 21 divided by 8 ... gives us ... PHI SQUARED !
So you can see that Phi controls our lives much deeper than most people realize.
So the deck of playing cards has told us a lot of things that most people never even think about. ... and the fact that the number of degrees in The Great Pyramid (rounded) is 52 same as the number of cards is best left for another day .
