The Problem of the Bent Pyramid
we see at Legon's site the Bent pyramid angles measured by Petrie.
We need to take note of three angles.
the mean angle of the lower part of the lower slope = 55° 01'
the mean angle of the upper part of the lower slope = 54° 36'
the mean angle of the upper slope = 43° 11'
We also note that the lower part of the upper slope is 43° 21' and the upper part of the upper slope is 43° 1'.
If you take Vyse: South stone Pyramid, top, Dahshur 42º 59' 26", you will see that the divergence in regards to Petrie is only 0º 1' 34".
As to the accuracy of Vyse's measurements, you cannot put too much value into them. They are almost 200 years old!
It is not easy to measure the height of a pyramid when there are not upper casing stones left. Since as seen above the 43° 21' value as measured by Petrie appears in the Bent pyramid, I wouldn't be surprised if a certain architectural element of the Red pyramid agreed with this value.
Now regarding the cult pyramid 50º 11' 41" value, it aligns pretty much with Greek mountain data so I would also not be surprised if a value lose to this is found in the design of this pyramid.
