Hi All,
Well no one has posted here for a while, so just to keep it going here is something you can discuss.
The Cubit Rod Specimen #4: is a bronze rectangular rod 0.57 X 0.68 inches with an overall length of 20.508 inches. Scale B: Useful Length = 20.247, 20 1/4 = 20.25 = 81/4 inches,
There are no Palm divisions.
(27) Digit mean length = 3/4 inches (0.75). If this rod were 28 digits would be exactly 21 inches long.
For those who have never looked and/or may not realize it this simple geometric construction is the basis for the entire Ancient Egyptians system of mathematics and their cubit system of measure.
By arbitrarily assigning the foot to this construction find the following:

One square side 'b' is 12/7 feet, multiplied by 12 = 144/7 inches = 20 4/7 inches. Line 'b' divided by the Eye of Horace (63/64) is equal to the cubit rod specimen #4: Turin Museum catalog #6349 scale B of 20 1/4 inches (i.e. 20 4/7 / (63/64) = 20 1/4 inches)
Making specimen #4 scale B equal to line 'b' divided by the Eye of Horace (63/64) in the above construction of the 3-4-5 triangle.
Now that is one hell of a coincidence or is it?
Regards,
Jacob
