I suddenly had a thought that if The Cubit fit, and The Yard and The Inch fit and The Kilometre fit at Giza then surely The Megalithic Yard must as well and so we are off on another ride.

The discovery of the Megalithic Yard

When the late Professor Alexander Thom surveyed over a thousand megalithic structures from Northern Scotland through England, Wales and Western France he was amazed to find that they had all been built using the same unit of measurement. Thom dubbed this unit a Megalithic Yard (MY) because it was very close in size to an imperial yard, being exactly 2 feet 8.64 inches (82.966 cm). As an engineer he could appreciate the fine accuracy inherent in the MY but he was mystified as to how such a primitive people could have consistently reproduced such a unit across a zone spanning several hundreds of miles. ...

The Megalithic Yard equals 32.64 inches which equals 1.58308 cubits when we use 20.618034 inches as a Royal Cubit. I immediately recognized that number from earlier work and so we once again look outwards into our solar system to find yet another proof that all is one and all measurement systems are based on one another.

Unbelievably when we let the distance from The Sun to Mercury equal 1 cubit then the distance from Mercury to The Earth is One Megalithic yard.

Unbelievable ! ... and beautiful to behold.
