Prologue:

The pyramids of Teotihuacan are referred to as The Pyramid of The Sun and The Pyramid of The Moon. I think this will have to change to them being called The Pyramids of The Solar System.

Hi all.

Nick has opened a fascinating chapter to delve into as he has suggested by posting Hugh Harleston's survey of Teotihuacan that The Teotihuacan site is also a map of our solar system. This should be a little easier pill for most to follow since it is well known that The Mayans knew and understood "The Heavens".

First let's post the unit of measurement of The Mayans. It is a STU or a Standard Teotihuacan Unit or STU for short. This equals 1.0594 meters or 41.70866 inches or 2.0229 cubits. Below I have blown up the image to make it clearer to see. Click on thumbnail to see larger image.

Here is a detail:

Let's look at what we have. We have the platform showing 216 from one side and 162 (could very easily be 161.8034 which is Phi of course) from the other. 216 divides into 378 1.75 times and from my earlier excel spread sheet we see that Mercury divides into the total distance of all the planets added together 175.03 times. And since the smaller pyramid is 216 STU's perhaps it is logical to conclude that the smaller pyramid represents not only Jupiter but Mercury as well. So perhaps the platform represents Mercury in some way also. And to further entice us to look further we have 162 dividing into 378 2.33 times. And 2.33 equals the running total of Earth widths when you add Mercury, Venus and Earth together as per chart below:

I don't know the accuracy of this map but I assume it is very accurate as he uses as a base 1.0594 meters which is accurate to 1/10,000ths of a meter. So we have 396 (see diagram blow-up) x's 1.0594 = 419.5224 meters ( I have seen this number somewhere before) which equals 801.064 cubits. However the apparent width of this pyramid equals 378 x's 1.0594 = 400.45 meters which equals 15765.842484 (400.45 x 39.370037) so it appears that there may be a direct co-relation to my Giza Grid since 1732.35 /11 (11 being the north-south grid division) = 157.45.

There is probably tons more here and I will begin the search.

cheers
