100 x 274.0266 = 27402.66 cubits

27402.66 cubits = 564989.113 inches

564989.113 inches / 12 = 47082.426 feet

47082.426 feet / 5280 = 8.917 miles

If we use 274 even we get 27400 cubits or 8.91626 miles

I don't think it is that far.

HOWEVER

8.9162583852864128604925138772351 is the square root of 79.5

I have calculated the angle from The Step Pyramid to Giza at 33.33 degrees. This makes the enclosed triangle: diagonal = 8.916 (sq rt of 79.5), 7.4498 (sq rt of 55.5), 4.899 (sq rt of 24)

This diagram is just scaled off Google Earth which is notoriously distorted but it seems to fit. If ANYONE has better values or can calculate on a sphere to make the values more accurate I would appreciate it.



And please remember that the square root of 79.5 in miles equals EXACTLY 27400 cubits (difference is 0.05 cubit or 1 inch [divide by 100] over almost 9 miles)

It would seem that probably these pyramids among other purposes were geodetic survey monuments.

So if the distance from The Step Pyramid to The Great Pyramid is indeed 8.916 miles or 274000 cubits ( + or - ) we would certainly have to reevaluate their purpose.
