I agreed with him entirely.

I merely expanded on his statement to say that it applied to everyone equally. Just because something is widely believed it simply doesn't matter and the widespread belief is must still be defended. Current thinking in physics has to be better supported than a new theory or it will be supplanted. It isn't correct until someone proves otherwise.

The same applies to each facet of egyptology. It must be supported by logic and facts better than any idea that is different.
