... This first Egyptian pyramid consisted of six mastabas (of decreasing size) built atop one another in what were clearly revisions and developments of the original plan. The pyramid originally stood 62 metres (203 ft) tall, and having a base of 109 m × 125 m (358 ft × 410 ft) and was clad in polished white limestone.[2] The step pyramid (or proto-pyramid) is considered to be the earliest large-scale stone construction, although the nearby enclosure known as Gisr el-mudir would seem to predate the complex. ... Source = [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyramid_of_Djoser]

... Dimensions: The pyramid was constructed in two stages. The first stage was a four-step pyramid (P1), which was later enlarged to a six-step pyramid (P2) The first stage, P1, had a base measuring 71.5 x 71.5m and reached a height of 8.4m. The second stage resulted in a pyramid with a rectangular base measuring 109m x 121m. The final height measured 62.5 m. The perimeter wall surrounding the complex measures 544.9m x 277.6m and reached a height of 10.5 meters. [2] ....

Just wonder if anyone thinks there is any significance in the fact that the height of Djoser's Step Pyramid is ... almost (within 1/1000th of a meter) one fifth of the length of the enclosure AND the other side of the pyramid base will fit into the enclosure length 4.5 times. And 109 x 1.11 = 120.99

544.9 / 109 = 4.999

544.9 / 121 = 4.503

So the ratio is 10:9 (121 / 10 x 9 = 108.9)

121 = 10
109 = 09
544.9 = 45
277.6 = 18.81
12.1 = 01

109 / 2 = 54.5 OR 1/10 of the enclosure's length. (544.9 / 10 = 54.49) This gives us 1/2 base of the short side of The Step Pyramid is one tenth (1/10) of the long side of the enclosure length.

121 / 2 = 60.5 or almost 1/9th of the enclosure length. (544.9 / 9 = 60.54) This gives us that 1/2 the long side of the Step Pyramid is one ninth (1/9) of the long side of the enclosure.

However as always I keep getting different measurements for the size of The Step Pyramid. Other sites list the size of The Step Pyramid as 109 meters x 125 meters. Pretty tough to do research when no one knows the correct distances. According to Lehner it is 109 x 121 and that's what I have used for now subject to the definitive measurements coming to light.
