Actually course 44 is thicker...2Rc in height.
Course 45 is also thicker at 1.84 Rc.
Your choice of 43 has a height of 1.62Rc.
42 and 46 are definitely smaller coming in at 1.3+Rc.

According to Petrie's measures, the total of course #'s 45 and 46 is 79 inches.
The average of these two would be 79/2 inches = 39.5 inches.
Do you know what measure has a length of 39.5 inches?

Combine 44, 45 and 46 for the answer to why these three are thicker...think solids.

Best.
