Despite recent rumours on social media, Mostafa Waziri, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities in Egypt, confirmed that the revered Bent Pyramid in the Dahshur necropolis remains safe and secure, with its historical significance and structural stability intact.

Waziri clarified that the iron bars, which have been a subject of discussion, were installed in the northwestern corner of the pyramid in 2014 to strengthen and preserve this section of the pyramid.
