Merer was one of thousands of such inspectors spread over three or four generations, Tallet has mentioned a few times that the only reason the papyri were found, as they were, was because of the remoteness of the site... makes me hopeful there's more to be found. The discovery is a small window into the 4th dynasty logistical abilities and the management of a sophisticated royal work crew.
