Now when ramps are shown to be unfeasible for myriad reasons including the fact that the uppermost stones can't possibly be dragged up ramps this particular paper advances the notion that they used Rigano's way only at the top without ever noting that this method is far far easier and would be effective for the entire project!!! It makes no sense to ignore the evidence that says tower and step construction and then insert "ramps" where they don't belong. Instead of wasting money and effort proposing unnecessary, inefficient, unevidenced, and contraindicated ramping systems some of this effort should be poured into gathering the evidence that shows how they were actually constructed. It really doesn't matter if only a dozen men could have dragged these up ramps when the evidence clearly shows there were no ramps and every experiment shows ramps don't work.

The simple fact is all the evidence, logic, and context says stones were pulled straight up. You don't need an engineering study to show it's easier to lift than it is to drag. This is just common sense. And it goes millions of times over when lifting 2 1/2 million stones an average of nearly 150'.

This should have been known as early as 1989 but people see what they expect and nobody wants to give up the romantic nature of ramps. How long will it be until we move into the 21st century? Why are we stuck in ancient ruts?

It's a shame the Ostracon where Rigano first published the solution to how they were built is now behind a paywall or I'd link it here. I've linked it many times before but you probably didn't read it or you'd have seen just how easy it really is to build a pyramid using brain instead of braun.
