I agree with you. I've been trying to follow cladking's convoluted explanations of his counterweight and geyser mechanisms on various boards with little success. Surely it's not that difficult to illustrate the concept in a series of step-by-step schematics. They don't have to be engineering-level CAD drawings, just something simple that would demonstrate the idea. The phrase “A picture is worth a thousand words” definitely applies here.
