The Museum in Memphis, and his magazines were robbed on Saturday morning completely. I can't help but think of those many open-air museums throughout the country that are undoubtedly experiencing the same sort of treatment.
I feel absolutely gutted.
Dr. Kara Cooney of UCLA is saying she is getting reports of "illicit digging and museum looting from all over Egypt", stating that "security has collapsed...Saqqara, Memphis, Luxor, Abusir, Aswan, and on... Opened tombs, digging, cutting, stealing."
