I am not familiar with Wirsching's book, but have read his article in SAK 28 entitled "3E 1H - Warum es im alten Ägypten unmöglich war, einen Kreisumfang ungenau zu messen".

An interesting little article, but I felt that there was much more he could have brought forward to strengthen his case.
