Hi Rick,
Yes, Djehutymose seems to have tidied the place after the second robbery, where the robbers very probably were taken with their hand in the sack, so to speak. Djehutymose must have apprehended one of the robbers and taken the linen bundle with the solid gold rings, which he casually just tossed in one of the boxes. He also seems to have tidied somewhat by means of putting lids on boxes, but not really taking his time to do it thoroughly. He then scribbled his name on a jar stand and left. And the tomb was re-selaed for the second time (archaeological evidence shows that this indeed was the second time the tomb was robbed). The evidence also shows that some 60% of the valuables were stolen i.e. the missing items were still on the inventory tags on the boxes.
Now, we do know who Djehutymose is and what he was doing in the tomb, due to another text found in Thothmose IV's tomb. The texts declares that following Horemheb's orders, Maya (the overseer of works in the necropolis, among other things) had at this occasion renewed the burial. And he had indeed, all the way from reparing broken jars with coloured paste to resealing the tomb. The texts also mentions Maya's assistent Djehutymose to have been part of the operations.
