Last night we were discussing the importance of the cubit glyphs Aa 11 & 12 as part of the word Ma'at representing truth.
Cubit - truth - measurement - Ma'at were seemingly associated ideas in the Egyptian mind.
This is also seen for example on the BoD weighing scales shown above on the site here.
Again, weighing and measurement are associated with Ma'at, where the heart of the deceased is weighed against the feather of Ma'at.
Sneferu was Neb Ma'at - which therefore means lord of truth and measurement or even.. lord of the cubit of truth and measurement.
This seems a little odd until we consider that things are still said to be 'true' if they are the right size, or aligned properly, in practical crafts.
The association of good and correct measurement and truth is therefore quite sensible.
It also seems significant, to me, that during Sneferu's reign great leaps forward in building technilogy were made, while Sneferu's name had the glyph for cubit on it, in its role as signifying truth.
Thoughts?
