But not everyone shares this view, Dave. According to one school of thought, the work of Robins (and Shute) far outweighs that of Legon. Apparently, Robins was a Lady Wallis Budge Memorial Scholar, and as Katherine GG's detailed and informative post pointed out, has had a distinguished career. On the basis of her work, she's recognised as an authority not only on AE art, but also on other aspects of AE such as the role of women. It can safely be argued, therefore, that her knowledge of AE is both extensive and exhaustive.

I realize, of course, that another school of thought might find some of Legon's theories - e.g., that there was a plan for the Giza plateau - to be very attractive ...
