Clive,

It an interesting excercise, looking west at the east wall.

1. Did you know the original floor is missing? 8.97 is rather exact for the queens chamber wall height especially in consideration of the sub-pavement floor.

2. How does one independently find the center point of the red circle?

3. Are we to assume the length of the chamber was derived from this geometry?

4. Since the courses of the chamber walls extend into the passage (north to the step) do we need to include that portion with the design of the Chamber?

5. Have you ever read Dormion's work? (not that I agree with him)

6. Why would they use a circle with a diameter of 11 royal cubits? what relation is there?

7. For such symmetric geometry why is the biggest feature within the chamber, the wall Niche, not centered in the room?

8. Did you know it's center line (wall niche) is exactly 80 royal cubits from the floor intersection of the ascending and horizontal passages?

9. What representation would cause the egyptian builder to use this method, are there any other examples?

10. If it is a design concept as you are suggesting, invented for the chamber dimensions, how does one reason for its choice? In other words, could you arrive at this design if the chamber did not already exist? or is it all based on weight displacement of the structures above?
