The Luxor museum is beautiful in its presentation and preservation of antiquities, compared to the Cairo Museum, but it does not have the same level of publicity associated with it. I was very surprised to see how magnificent and modern it was upon my arrival.

Having said that, I can only admit that I would rather they be careful with the artifacts and sloppy with the media than vice versa.
