A few questions for those who know something about hieroglyphs.

As I understand it, hierglyphs could be read from right to left or from left to right depending upon which way the hierglyphs were facing. The main direction of reading was from right to left? When it comes to numbers, these appear to have been written from left to right. Is there any evidence of them being written from right to left? When they are accompanied by text, in which direction is the text written?

The largest numeral was a god with both arms raised. Is this a representation for one million or is it a representation of "to many to count"?

Thanks.
