BernaL'S Whole idea of Hyskos conquering large areas of Greece is shall we say dubious. For example being responsible for the shaft graves at Mycenae. Its all dubious supported by little evidence.
About Crete well the involvement of groups from Asia Minor, much less Hyskos is simply conjecture. The remains for the palace of Knossos for example have tablets in Greek indicating that the last rulers of the palace were apparently Greeks. The replacement of Minoan rulers with Greek rulers apparently occurred c. 1450 B.C.E. possibly well after the eruption of Thera. (There is a persistant dispute about thje date of the Eruption from c. 1630 B.C.E. to 1500 B.C.E.) Although the involvement of the Myceneans in replacing the Minoan rulers at Knossos seems very clear, the involvement of people from Asia Minor or Hyksos is basically conjecture.
