Anthony's irreverent comments actually refer to Byng Place, near Gordon Square, on the way to the former site of the Petrie Museum (which, despite the assistance of a small map, we had some difficulty in finding on that particular day). The problem with the old museum was that it was so small that all the material was squashed on shelves, and it was very difficult to see some of the objects ... Thank goodness they've now got a new site sorted out.
