T.E. Peet, in his paper on Problem 10 of the Moscow Mathematical Papyrus ("A Problem in Egyptian Geometry", JEA XVII 1931), states that "cylindrical were the wooden measures used for corn". (p. 105).

Can any one tell me where I can find out more about such wooden cylindrical measures?

Many thanks.
