That's one reason I was curious about the "racial" makeup of Egypt by period. When I hear people say that the Egyptians were Black or was a melting-pot I think they need to specify what period of Egyptian history they're referring to. I know that saying Egypt was a melting-pot is basically accurate considering Egypt's 2,000 year span and known migrations during that 2,000 years,but I also would think that "racially" the mixture would have varied depending on the period. I wouldn't be suprised if the predynastic population was largely made up of indigenous Africans with some non-indigenous Africans also in it's population at that time because I haven't seen where outside migrations was that heavy during the predynastic era.
