There was a picture here of Hawass inspecting such a tomb on the Giza
Plateau not too long back. It looked like a small blast furnace to me
but it had inscriptions in it.

While circles are pretty rare in nature they are quite common in all hu-
man activity. Even a dog chained to a stake will wear a circle in the
ground. Slings used as weapons define a circle as they are accelerated.
The lenght of the sling is determined by the weight of the projectile and
strenght of the user.

The sun, and often the moon, appear as circles. Atmospheric conditions
are often circular and the rainbows are arcs. The horizon over the sea
is an arc.

Water circles as it drains.

Birds often fly in reasonable approximations of circles before landing.

"Circle" should have been one of the first couple thousand words invented.
