My problems with museum access deal with the fact that virtually every museum flatly forbids you from taking pictures of the works. Usually they hit you with the flash photography will damage the exhibits. Bull!!! How can taking a picture of a statue and damage it. The truth is they want you to buy their worthless crap exhibition books which are nothing but eye candy.
I'm not sure what you mean about "academic corruption". What does bother me is "academic dogma" but this is pervasive across all the fields that I've studied. An idea becomes enshrined and nothing on earth can shake it...Except the facts. But then I've always been a rebel so that's understandable.
