Hi,
The two examples of hour-stars from the PTs show that a clear distinction was made between the night sky and the day sky. Not surprisingly, there was also a day bark and a night bark. The rising of Ra displaces the hour-stars; they are dispatched or sent away at the beginning of day. This seems to be a rather clear demonstration that the AE didn't think of a starry sky during the day but, rather, one dominated by Ra, the sun god.

PS: I think the thread title of 'Star Wreck' is appropriate.
