"I think the face is quite royal,"

I thought the idea that physiognomy could give some insight into character, personality or social status (X "looks lower class) was thankfully dead as the proverbial doornail. This sort of thinking is closely related to phrenology and is, to my way of thinking at least, more than a little weird. That aside, fat could be a mark of status, as it may indicates that someone is well fed, and doesn't have to perform manual labor. The corpulent statute of Heminunu (Hildesheim) is one example, but it ceratinly in't the only one. I'm not buying a "no fat queen" scenario. I suppose, however, that Hawass could be pointing to the pendulous breasts as a sign that the woman was a wetnurse? My experience with the category is, however, limited.
