Interesting discussion about the Sodom comet paper on PubPeer. The original paper as published used human bones to infer a wind blast directed from SW to NE in support of the hypothesis. It shows the feet of a skeleton pointed upwind and the femurs (and presumably the missing upper torso and head) pointing downwind. Because that's the way things blow over, right? See: [
