To me...it would seem reasonable to have other universes. Not in the "multi-verse" since, but there would be other universes out there expanding into each other...like galaxies sometimes do.

Perhaps one day an old galaxy will show up accelerating into our universe and people will be like ...."whaaat??" The Big-bang was just part of the Bigger-Bang.
