I wonder how much of obesity is due to eating for comfort, a habit often started by parents who want to use the bottle or food to keep young ones from crying or making too much noise. That might become a habit that's hard to break as the person grows older.

Also, if there is a genetic factor, then another question would be how much of the current obesity epidemic is due to relatively recent mutations.. and if mutations.. and evolution.. are driven by viral codes, then I wonder what the next flu epidemic will mean for humans. Hmm.
