This is an excellent segment on climate change,
insurance costs, and the insurance companies today.

The article stated:

"More than 10 insurers are bailing out of
Florida, and others have stopped taking
on new customers. Several dozen have filed
for rate hikes."

The only reason I was able to find reasonable insurance
for my house, which is south of Interstate Highway 10
in Louisiana, was that I was already a customer paying
for renter's insurance. This grandfathered me as a
customer and exempted me from the ban on new house
policies.
