I wonder how many astrologers had even heard of Comet Tempel-1 before this! However, this attempted scam is entirely consistent with what astrologers have been doing for centuries, i.e. trying to get paid for doing something entirely worthless (in the sense that astrological predictions are indistinguishable from random chance). Of course, we have been dumping hardware in and on astrological "objects" for decades; the only surprise is that it has taken this long for one of the charlatans to catch on to this "opportunity".
