I liked this: "With a 3-foot wingspan, the bird is larger than a pileated woodpecker, which is similar in appearance. Indeed, one of the researchers termed it a pileated woodpecker on steroids." I wonder if Congress will get involved to see if these are just pileated woodpeckers taking illegal drugs. Congress seems to be involved in just about everything else these days. Wouldn't it be lovely if they could try something useful? (I know, I know, politics are off limits).
