If I am reading him right, he is saying that it isn't his idea but that another has brought this idea up and he is only asking if that has been shown to be true in the recent moon phases. Sounds like he is just as sceptical about it as you. If there was, for arguments sake, a period of geological shake, rattle, and roll starting up here, how would the last two centuries of recorded data prove this if, say, it started two years ago? confused smiley
