Who set up the equipment tho? Incidentally, the fact that they didn't detect any neutrons doesn't mean that the process does or cannot work, it just means that they didn't detect neutrons when they were wanting to detect them. There seems to be a misconception is some quarters that not being able to detect something mean that the something cannot be detected.

I saw the first half last night, and the basic theory is quite simple.

If he had a machine that functions, why not just keep it all set up and allow other experts to verify the results on-site?

Finally, we know that fusion does happen every day, its just that we have difficulty recreating the conditions and starting a reaction on earth.
