I think that there are alot of curious things out there in the world that don't get examined because of the affiliations. However, ignoring these things does not necessarily make them go away and destroys the possibility of perhaps something entirely new being discovered. I think it would be very hard to be a scientist that wishes to delve and explore into something unusual because of potential backlash whether it be from peers or the public.

I'm really glad that Kinsey gets a heavy mention. There is a movie starring Liam Neeson that came out last year about the man, himself. I haven't yet had the opportunity to see it but I really want to.
