However, falling on ice is probably no different than falling on cement or any other hard surface and getting burned from hot steam is probably no different then getting burned from some other hot gas!
Chemical reactions have a direct affect on physical reactions and vice-versa. A chemical reaction is usually caused when you physically move two or more elements or compounds close together...
Those are very classic casses of energy transfer...
Another classic case is when you move together two opposite charged objects, like clouds, then you will get an electric transfer (like lightning)...
