Brainwashing indeed! The flat earth theorists are absolute nobody's compared to the alt-right wing nuts. For instance it's come to my attention that there is a man, supposedly high up in the American govt. who goes by the pseudonym "Q-anon". From time to time he releases what he calls 'crumbs' to his minions who decode them to come up with the most amazing bulls@it (that's the only word that describes it) that I've ever read. It would take dozens of posts to even lay the groundwork for the extent of the madness (and it is madness) of this particular group of nuts. However one of Q's crumbs is that Angela Merkel is the daughter of Adolph Hitler after one of the Braun sisters was artificially inseminated with Der Feuher's seed. They kind of skip over the anomaly that Merkel was born in 1954 while Hitler died in 1945. (Somebody took The Boys from Brazil, a little too seriously.) Anyhow here's a link to their video.
