That, my dear, is apocalyptic thinking. You have a society in which the majority of people are Christian and believe that Armageddon will come. You have a world that, at times, seems to be on the verge of collapse due to one thing or another. I think it's less that 1 in 7 believe that the world is ending. I think it is more likely that 1 in 7 want it to end because that would be the easy way out of the variety of messes that we are collectively in. Haven't you seen the rubbish that has been rampant in some venues on the net? All you have to do is get a bunch of people thinking about something to create its happening.
