I saw the Panorama guy's meltdown on CNN today: quite impressive. I understand his frustration because the Scientology member wouldn't let him talk and then ran away rather than debate the issues, so the Panorama guy followed him and then mayhem ensued.

I own an interesting curiosity piece: the issue of Astounding Science fiction where L. Ron Hubbard first describes Scientology and Dianetics. L. Ron was never a great SF writer, pretty middling. Astounding went down the tubes after the editor, Don Campbell got involved with Scientology. Asimov (as he would) thought the whole thing was bunk, but couldn't talk Campbell out of it.
