I think it is sad, that a beautiful custom such as wearing a kimono has become so unusual now, that pribes are needed. Sure enough, the modern life has it's demands and I don't for a second imagine, that wearing a kimono is practical, and I do think the "philosphy" of wearing is does clash with the modern day Japan somewhat. But my romantic soul suffers to hear, that payment is needed to wear a such a beautiful work of art.
