Berger is a genius in that he assembled an international team of experts to examine the skeleton, rather than keeping it to himself and stringing it out over ten years before a single paper is published. Shows great imagination, wisdom, and foresight, and as a result he has transformed the field of paleoanthropology. He's one of the undisputed giants of the field.
