Living on the gulf coast for three decades or more, I'm very very fond of the noaa site, and in particular, their satellite imagery access:

For hurricane paranoids like me, this is a *good* view to achieve a sense of knowing what is going on, regardless of how accurate that knowledge is.

Most times, I can study the satellite imagery and make my own decisions without having to blindly trust the alleged experts.

Also, frankly, I prefer satellite imagery over radar signals for a variety of reasons, not least is... it's less misleading.

Then again, if you're looking for weather in general -- I *love* the wundergrounds wundermap which combines regional radar, local radar, local weather stations, crowd sourced repoting, satellite imagery and google maps all into one presentation which is easy to access & view.
www.wunderground.com

The only thing I wish for there is a presentation of real time flooding on back roads or brush fire alerts being closer to real time.
