Hrm I'm not sure how Dark Materials will translate to a film. As there are some scenes in the book which would bump the film to a higher than PG rating (or should anyway... saying that having watched some films recently I've no idea how they rate them anymore). Also with its... shall we say interesting and different focus on religion, it might just start to cause more trouble than HP!

BTW Last I heard the project had the go ahead!
